Real Betis is receiving inquiries after unearthing a gem named 18-year-old winger Assane Diao.
Real Betis Sporting Director Ramon Planes is under pressure to secure Diao’s future as a number of Premier League clubs have begun to show interest in the youngster.
Diao made his debut for Betis this season, but he quickly caught the eye with his pace, neat dribbling and scoring skills. In contrast, the talented youngster has started in the last seven La Liga matches under Manuel Pellegrini, scoring four goals in 11 appearances this season.
Diao is of interest to many big teams.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Manchester United are one of four Premier League clubs looking at Diao as an option in the transfer market. Other clubs include Newcastle, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Betis’ goal is to get the maximum amount of money from the sale of Diao. British media believe that Diao’s current release clause is 30 million euros, but Betis wants to increase his salary and push that number to 40-50 million euros.
