Sir Jim Ratcliffe plans to pay £1.3 billion for a 25% stake in Manchester United. This is not the complete takeover that Manchester United fans wanted. But a report in The Mail said the investment is aimed at a larger investment down the line. Importantly, Ratcliffe’s Ineos are demanding control of football operations.
Shaka Hislop says: “The biggest improvement Manchester United need is their management structure. That needs to be addressed first. Honestly, You could give the Glazers another billion, and they would blow it.”

The Glazer family has not left MU yet
“I think Manchester United need that management structure. Sir Jim Ratcliffe coming in is a huge step in the right direction. If I were a Manchester United fan, I would welcome anyone who takes away some of the rights force from the Glazer family.”
Currently, after 8 matches of the 2023/2024 season, the club is ranked 10th on the rankings and has gone a decade without a Premier League championship.
