Before the 2022 World Cup, Lisandro Martinez has started every Manchester United game in the Premier League since he arrived at Old Trafford. However, in the last two matches, Martinez has been absent, but David De Gea insists that this is not a big problem because every player in the Red Devils defense is a quality option.
Talking to the Manchester Evening News, the Spaniard shared:
Martinez has yet to return.
“A huge congratulations to Lisandro Martinez, he won the World Cup. It’s great that we have every player back. All are ready to play.”
“Martinez is a very active guy, he’s always smiling, always training with 100 per cent, always giving his best on the pitch. So it’s good to have him back.”
“We have great options in defence. I think it doesn’t matter who you put in the team, even Luke Shaw plays at center back and he performed very well in two difficult games.”
