The Dutch midfielder, who joined Man United in 2020 on a five-year deal for £35m from Ajax, has had a rough time at Old Trafford since arriving at the club, with injuries and Poor form meant he only made 60 appearances.
The Red Devils want to say goodbye to him in the summer of 2023, at least with a loan contract. Ligue 1 team Lorient wants to bring this midfielder to France in the 2023/2024 season. However, Van de Beek is said to have refused to speak to Lorient, which left them unhappy.

Van de Beek will again be a reserve at MU
With few options left, French newspaper L’Equipe reported that Van de Beek and his agent have approached Lorient about a loan move. But instead of welcoming Van de Beek, the club turned down the Dutchman’s request on the grounds that his behavior and attitude towards them during the first transaction was an insult.
The Dutch international will now stay at Man United until January unless there is an offer from the Saudi Pro League or other leagues where the transfer market is still open.
