Neves has been training at Benfica’s training facility since his childhood days. This player rose through the ranks at the club at a breakneck pace. The 19-year-old midfielder was promoted to the first team at the beginning of the year and has since gone from strength to strength.
He has appeared in a total of 38 matches for Benfica’s first team, 18 of which are in the current season. Neves has contributed with two goals so far. His impressive rise and exceptional performances over the past few months have attracted a lot of attention. Scouts from many clubs were present in the stands of Estadio do Dragao to watch this teenager’s match last Sunday.
