With his achievements in his first stint with the Bundesliga giant, Werner is considered one of the best strikers in European football at one time. However, despite winning the Champions League in two years with Chelsea, his value still decreased in the eyes of many people even though the striker scored 23 goals and 21 assists in 89 appearances.
Chelsea are happy to sell the German international for £25.3 million in 2022, allowing Werner to reunite with Leipzig. He was able to assert himself in his first year back at the club, with a total of 16 goals and 6 assists in 40 appearances.
However, despite being favored under Marco Rose, this season is a completely different story. Nine of Werner’s 13 appearances in the 2023-24 season have come from the bench, with just 234 minutes played in the Bundesliga and Champions League.
According to 90min, Leipzig have now come to the decision that they are willing to part ways with their striker if they receive a suitable offer early next year. Werner is said to be is attracting interest from both West Ham United, Fulham and Crystal Palace.

Werner is playing quite poorly this season.
The Hammers have no shortage of attacking options, but David Moyes’ trio of Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Danny Ings is creating less effectiveness than last season.
Fulham are also struggling to score goals following the summer departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Werner looks set to claim a regular place in Marco Silva’s squad.
Crystal Palace can be considered to be in a similar situation with only Odsonne Edouard scoring more than 3 Premier League goals in the 2023-24 season.
The report indicates that both Fulham and Palace are open to a short-term loan deal, while West Ham are said to be weighing up their options rather than identifying Werner as a specific target.
