Goals from Mohamed Salah, Thiago Alcantara and a brace from Darwin Nunez helped Liverpool win 4-1 in their final friendly before returning to the regular league.
Speaking after the game, Jurgen Klopp spoke about how quickly his side and the players returning from the World Cup have adapted to the club. Specifically, the German military leader shared in front of the media.
Klopp was pleased when Liverpool overwhelmed AC Milan in the friendly match.
“It was a really good game. There was one situation that I didn’t like, and that was when we conceded a goal because it happened right after half-time. Besides, we’re super overpowered. We played a really good game. I like the way the midfield is linked together, I like the way the team plays.”
After the World Cup, Liverpool’s first opponent was Manchester City in the Carabao Cup. The Kop is currently the champion of the tournament after beating Chelsea in a gunfight in the final last season.
