Martin Odegaard insists that Gabriel Jesus is a class player and Arsenal are really struggling without the striker. However, he thinks that Eddie Nketiah has done a very good job of replacing the former Manchester City star. Metro quotes the Norwegian midfielder:
“We are missing a good player, but you see the quality that Eddie possesses. Two goals and everything he brought in the game.”
Odegaard praises Nketiah.
“With players in attack, we will always create chances and endanger the opposition. Just put the players in the right positions and they will do it.”
“When a player like that (Gabriel Jesus) gets injured, you will always miss him. Jesus has great qualities and a great personality. He still gives us a lot off the pitch. The energy Jesus gives and everything he does on the training ground.”
“But all the other players need to step up strong without someone like that, and we did a great job. Compliment Eddie when he’s been brilliant and playing so well. Watch him He played really well.”
