Real Madrid’s attack has been showing excellent performance recently. Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz and Joselu are trusted to fill the position of Vinicius Junior, who has been out of action since mid-November after suffering a hamstring injury while playing for Brazil.
The good news for coach Carlo Ancelotti is that he has welcomed Vinicius back. The 2000-born player has been training for the past few weeks, including taking part in a training session on Saturday at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium.
Sharing with RMTV at the training session, Vinicius confirmed that he will be ready to be in the squad to face Mallorca in the first match in La Liga 2023/24 after the winter break:
“I’m fine, very fine. Now all that’s left is for the coach to choose the personnel.”
Given the form of Rodrygo and Brahim in particular, it would be very surprising if Vinicius starts for Real Madrid in the match against Mallorca. However, Vinicius is capable of regaining the starting position in the coming weeks.
He and Rodrygo form a striker pair supported by Jude Bellingham.
