Tottenham are said to be one of the clubs leading the race for Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez. The Mexican international is asserting himself as one of the rising stars of the Dutch National Championship. The striker is attracting increasing interest from many top clubs across Europe.
In an interview on Tuttomercatoweb with one of the player’s agents, Gimenez was talked about as a potential player being watched by a host of big names. Spurs and Real Madrid are named as the teams at the top of the list of clubs interested in the 22-year-old player.

Santiago Gimenez is being targeted by top European teams.
In that interview, Gimenez’s representative also stated that Gimenez’s transfer value had quadrupled recently, from 10 million euros to nearly 40 million euros today.
Tottenham sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich this summer, so they are keen to sign a contract with Gimenez as soon as possible. Spurs are still doing very well without Kane, but it would certainly be better to have another elite attacker in Ange Postecoglou’s squad in the long term.
