Amid rumors that Arsenal are interested in Douglas Luiz, Alan Hutton believes it will take a record transfer fee for a midfielder to convince Aston Villa.
The former English player shared:
“I think at this point, with the way prices are set in the transfer market, This deal will have to be over 50 million pounds.”
“Luiz is at a great age and is playing very well. He can play for most teams in the Premier League, including the strongest team, Manchester City.”
Douglas Luiz is highly rated.
“Obviously there will be teams interested. Luiz also has a great goalscoring record at Villa Park, let’s see what he brings to the table in dead ball situations – penalties, corners, direct free kicks.”
“I think, Luiz is a complete midfielder, and obviously we are talking about a record transfer fee. Luiz won’t reach Jack Grealish’s price tag, but we are talking about record numbers for a midfielder.”
“But hopefully not, Luiz is an important part of Villa’s project going forward.”
