The French defender scored the vital goal in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Burnley at the Emirates. Saliba’s first goal of the season came just minutes after Burnley scored an equalizer midway through the second half.
Saliba has been excellent since returning to the London club in 2022 and he has established himself as one of the best defenders in the world.

Saliba has not shown consistency in his aerial combat ability despite his good height.
However, despite his height of 1.93m, he still does not often show his presence in the opponent’s penalty area. That’s why coach Arteta said that the club is working with Saliba to change that.
Arteta said: “We are big boys. But Saliba hasn’t shown that skill consistently and we are really working with him to be much more dominant and today’s goal is a real example.
Give credit to the coaches and him for the job they are doing.
We are the team that create the most set-pieces, teams play with very low formations against us and block the spaces so that’s a really good way for us to score as well.”
