Barcelona is looking for a successor to Sergio Busquets. However, it seems that one of Football Director Deco’s favorite candidates for this position is slipping out of reach.
Brazilian star Gabriel Moscardo is attracting interest from top European clubs and the price of this talent is exceeding the Catalan club’s budget.

Barca’s goal.
Earlier this week, Deco confirmed that Barcelona are monitoring Moscardo. It was later reported that the Blaugrana were looking for a more experienced option in this position.
Fabrizio Romano told Caught Offside that Chelsea are the more likely candidates for Moscardo’s signature. At that time, it would be difficult for Blaugrana to get the person they needed.
“The price will be around 25 million euros,” Romano said. Chelsea wanted him in August but after that there was still no official approach to Corinthians.
There are around 5-6 interested clubs from the UK and also Italy, but nothing has really been decided or progressed at this stage. For Barca currently, the price is too expensive.”
