When asked if he would be happy to team up with the Swiss midfielder, Jorginho had a simple answer and complimented Granit Xhaka’s kind personality off the pitch. The pair went to dinner shortly after his transfer was finalized and the former Borussia Monchengladbach star decided to pay.
Jorginho quickly established a relationship with Xhaka.
Speaking to beIN Sports, the Italian said: “Yes, I’m happy. Before, we had some friction on the pitch, but off the pitch he’s a really good guy and now We had a good laugh.”
“Yes, outside the field [Xhaka thì khác]. I asked him where I could go for dinner around here another day and he booked for me and didn’t let me pay either. I was like ‘Ok, thanks a lot.’ [cười]. So yeah, he’s a really, really nice guy and I’m glad I can see a different side of him.”
