Discussing the difficulties that Mason Mount has encountered since moving to Manchester United, Andy Cole said that it is normal because all players take time to adapt when moving to Old Trafford. Cole said, when returning from injury, Mount just needs to focus and do his best to play well.
The former English striker shared:
“Ten Hag must have a reason to include him in the squad. It’s always difficult to move to a club like Manchester United and shine. Questions surrounding Mount started in Man United’s pre-season , but he’s come here, wearing the number 7 shirt and ready to take on the pressure that comes with that.”
Mount needs more time.
“Mount’s first few performances didn’t go the way he wanted, but he just needs to stay focused and work as hard as possible, because the only way for Mount to dispel criticism is to play well.”
“Mount is currently out injured, but when he comes back he needs to do everything he can to get everyone behind him, because it’s been a really difficult start for him.”
