Discussing the victory over Ajax this morning, coach Roberto De Zerbi shared:
“The most important news is that we kept a clean sheet, But on Sunday there will be another big game (against Fulham) and we need to be ready.”

“We did not expect Ajax to set up their strategy the way they did. They defended with two central defenders, we did not have much time to grasp the space. In the first half, we played without It was bad when Pascal Gross, Simon Adingra and Joel Veltman coordinated well. Entering the second half, we had a better understanding of space and how to deploy the ball in the middle area.”
“We scored the first goal after many passes. We need to improve to move the ball faster, play the ball with less touches. However, this is our first victory in the competition Europe, a great day for the fans, for the club and for the owners. We are very proud to give them this experience.”
