Matteo Guendouzi seems to have regained his form in Serie A. Guendouzi moved to Lazio on loan on the last day of this summer market. He has made 12 appearances since then, playing in every match for the Rome side.
Since moving to Arsenal in 2018, Matteo Guendouzi has been called up to the French national team several times. Initially with the U21 team, he was quickly called up to the national team in 2019. From then until the 2022 World Cup, he was alternately used with the French U21 or national team whenever he was not injured.
But that changed in 2023. Guendouzi was left out of the France squad during FIFA Days in March. He also did not return in June, September and October. The 24-year-old was completely fit throughout During that time, his poor form in Marseille caused him to not be noticed by coach Didier Deschamps.

Guendouzi is wide open to return to the French team.
However, Corriere dello Sport reported that Guendouzi has impressed for Lazio, adding that Deschamps is satisfied with the progress of the former Gunner.
It can be seen that Guendouzi has matured recently, with his improved discipline being proof of that. The midfielder has not yet received a yellow card in Serie A this season.
