That is the statement of coach Ruben Amorim, who himself has been linked to the hot seat at Manchester United in the past few days.
Amorim once again faced questions about Goncalo Inacio during the press conference. Inacio has a clause worth £52 million in his contract with Sporting. Amorim insisted that his main man will stay unless that clause is triggered: “If they pay his release clause, he has to leave. If they don’t, no one will leave.”
Manchester United, along with Liverpool and Real Madrid, are expected to send scouts to watch the 20-year-old play for Sporting in the Lisbon derby against Benfica at the weekend.
He is a central defender who can also play as a midfielder and does so very well. His strength is his technical ability, being good at making long and short passes. Inacio has a football mindset, does well in both defense and attack, reads the game well and is able to make the right decisions on the field.
