Harry Kane left Tottenham Hotspur for German giants Bayern Munich in a £104m deal in August. He has scored 21 goals in all competitions for Bayern – with 17 strikes plus five. Assisted in 11 Bundesliga appearances.
However, up to now, another assassin has emerged to compete with Kane this season. That player is catching the eye of top European clubs. The burning figure who has become a phenomenon in the soccer world is Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy. To get to where she is today, the 27-year-old star had to go through an arduous journey.

Harry Kane has had a brilliant start to life at Bayern Munich but it has been somewhat overshadowed by Guirassy.
The Guinea international has risen through the ranks of France’s lower divisions with Laval. Next, he started a new journey by moving to Lille, playing for Auxerre on loan, Cologne and then Amiens. Guirassy spent the next three years playing at Rennes, scoring 19 goals in 65 league appearances.
However, after an initial loan period in Stuttgart, scoring 11 goals in 22 matches in the Bundesliga last season, he left again last summer. The explosive form led to Guirassy’s permanent move to Stuttgart on a 3-year contract and it could lead to a fairy-tale ending after the striker’s sublime streak.
Guirassy costs just £7.8m, but his asking price will now at least double after an impressive start to the current season. This striker has scored 16 goals in all competitions, including 15 goals in just 9 matches in the Bundesliga. His shooting record in the first seven matches in the 2023/24 Bundesliga broke the record set by Robert Lewandowski in the past. He also eclipsed Kane’s nine goals in his first seven appearances for Bayern.
Now, Guirassy is hot on the heels of Kane in the race for the Golden Boot. However, it should be known that Guirassy suffered an injury so he missed a few matches in the Bundesliga and was surpassed by Kane. That is a pity for the Guinean player.

Guirassy has scored 15 goals in 9 Bundesliga matches this season.
In the context of the winter industrial market ahead, Stuttgart certainly wants to tie up its mainstay to avoid force losses. If Stuttgart can do that and Guirassy continues to impress, the star born in 1996 could overshadow Kane’s first season in the Bundesliga.
Once he completes the task of blocking Kane’s way, Guirassy will improve his personal value and have a perfect CV to land at Europe’s top clubs. He is then likely to soon move to the Premier League, where Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur are hungry for a top striker.
A host of English teams will continue to monitor Guirassy’s progress.
