Information about Sofyan Amrabat is attracting the attention of many Man United fans. The 27-year-old midfielder has not yet made his debut for the Red Devils after arriving at Old Trafford on loan from Fiorentina. Previously, Amrabat withdrew from the September gathering of the Morocco national team due to injury.
Recently, sharing at the press conference before the match with Brighton, coach Erik ten Hag updated Amrabat’s situation. Speaking to MUTV, the Dutch captain said:
“Amrabat? Unfortunately, he came back injured. Therefore, Amrabat will not participate in the next match. I think Amrabat will return to the field soon. I think we will all receive joy from the players.”
This is clearly not happy news for Man United fans. In the context of Casemiro showing signs of decline, Amrabat’s appearance is expected to add steel and pressing ability to the Red Devils’ midfield.
Besides Amrabat, Man United will not have the services of four faces Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Raphael Varane and Mason Mount due to injury. Meanwhile, Lisandro Martinez’s ability to play is left open. The duo Jadon Sancho and Antony are out due to internal suspensions.
