The Brazilian player, a mainstay last season, was suddenly left out of the starting lineup in all three Premier League matches at the beginning of the season, against Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Fulham.
There has been speculation that Gabriel is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia and may be allowed to leave after falling out of favor at the Emirates.
Coach Mikel Arteta repeatedly asserted that it did not happen. However, the Daily Mail insists that the 25-year-old’s future is still quite unpredictable.

Will Gabriel leave Arsenal?
Several clubs in Saudi Arabia are considering a deal and they still want to lure Gabriel to the Middle East. Real Madrid are also mulling a move as they look to replace Eder Militao who is ACL injured and will miss most of the season.
Although Gabriel could stay in north London there is still a small chance the Gunners sell him before the transfer window closes.
Most recently, Gabriel himself also seems ready to leave the Emirates Stadium. Specifically, on his personal page, the Brazilian midfielder wrote: “Ready to write a new story.”
Gabriel’s move is curious and Metro reports that this player may have paved the way to join a new stop.
