A series of reputable sources have confirmed that, Karim Benzema will leave Real Madrid this summer after 14 years of service. The French striker has revealed to the Los Blancos leadership that he wants to move to Saudi Arabia to play.
According to Goal, the reigning Ballon d’Or will earn 400 million euros (£346 million) during the two-year contract when he moves to Al-Ittihad. This is the team that has just won the Saudi Pro League this season, 5 points ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr. Benzema’s deal will also see him act as an ambassador for the country’s race to host the 2030 World Cup.
