Specifically, on August 2, Liverpool faced Bayern Munich within the framework of Singapore Football Festival. The winning team will receive the Singapore Cup, presented by Audi and Standard Chartered.
Three days earlier, Liverpool kicked off the tour with a Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy match against Leicester City. Last year, Jurgen Klopp’s men also won this title after beating Crystal Palace.
Liverpool’s matches are all held at the Singapore National Stadium. Besides the friendly with the two clubs mentioned above, the Liverpool coaching staff and players also participate in a number of local community projects and cultural activities in Singapore.

Liverpool’s fixtures in Singapore.
Sharing about the visit to the Southeast Asian country, Liverpool Commercial Director, Ben Latty said: “Liverpool feels very excited to be back in Singapore. When we first came here, we were impressed with the warm welcome, the facilities – from the training ground to the official game field – here. In Singapore, up to a fifth of the population are Liverpool fans, which is amazing and we can’t wait to see them,” Latty added.
This is the second time in a row in two years that Liverpool have chosen Southeast Asia as their pre-season destination. Last July, “The Kop” and Manchester United played a friendly match in Bangkok, Thailand. In that match, the Anfield team lost heavily to Erik ten Hag’s teachers and students with a score of 0-4.
