Mason Mount has just one year left on his Chelsea contract and has already attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs before the summer transfer window opens. Man United are among the leading contenders in the race for Mount and are ready to submit a £55m bid for the England international.

Mount is welcomed by MU.
However, Scholes is concerned about Mount’s slowdown this season. The Red Devils legend said: “Look, I like Mason Mount… But has he done well enough?
When he just had an impressive debutI was thinking if this is the new Frank Lampard. I know we shouldn’t compare, but I was expecting Mason to score more goals, in big games, to win the home team. But he hasn’t really taken a new step since then.
I think changing clubs might not be a bad thing for him.”
Scholes also believes that Chelsea’s next manager, expected to be Mauricio Pochettino, should have reason to be optimistic despite the team’s worst score in Premier League history.
