Bukayo Saka insists he never thought Arsenal would top the Premier League with a seven-point gap over Manchester City as it is now. However, now, Saka asserts, the Gunners absolutely have a chance to win the championship.
Speaking after the game, the British star shared (quoted by Metro):
“The 7 point gap sounds great. Obviously, at the beginning of the season, if you asked us if we wanted this to happen, you were a bit over-excited.”
Saka believes in the prospect of Arsenal winning the title.
“We are really happy. We know how difficult it is to get here, and the weather is not easy either.”
“That goal was beautiful and came very early, it gave us the lead. We just have to try and show our composure.”
“We have a great chance to win the Premier League – a great position we’ve put ourselves in.”
“Now, we’re not focused on that, the whole team is focused on the next game because we know how well Newcastle played.”
