Aston Villa fans have reacted with surprise and ridicule after Steven Gerrard was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain. After a disappointing spell at Villa Park, it is thought the Liverpool legend should be relegated to League One to get his coaching career back on track.
According to the British newspaper, the former Rangers manager has been mentioned by PSG’s Qatari owners as a potential candidate to replace current head coach Christophe Galtier, who is under increasing pressure.
Gerrard failed while working at Aston Villa.
Gerrard could face stiff competition from former PSG, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel, who is also said to be an option should Galtier lose his job.
But this information made many Villa fans laugh.
