Ronaldo has joined the Saudi Arabian club on a free transfer after agreeing a deal believed to be worth £177m-a-year. The deal has sparked a lot of controversy.
Brown is not surprised by Ronaldo’s move to Al-Nassr, insisting that the 37-year-old tried to leave Manchester United in the summer.

Ronaldo broke up with MU because of a conflict.
Brown told Metro UK: “In the end, he tried to go in the summer and there’s really nothing here for him. I’m not sure which club made the offer, but the club he was at. If he wants to come, he won’t.”
“In the end, it’s crazy money for him. It’s going to be a little bit different for him, it’s going to be a different experience for him.”
“But no matter what, he is a legend of football and no matter what people say, As a Manchester United fan, he will always be a club legend.”
