Messi scored twice in his starting time, and Ronaldinho believes for that reason his former Barcelona team-mate will win the 2023 Ballon d’Or.

Speaking to SDA, Ronaldinho said: “Because he scored two goals in the final and won his first World Cup, I think Messi will win the Ballon d’Or. This will make him go down in history a little bit more.”

He added: “Yes, both players [Messi và Mbappe] are all excellent performers. More than high expectations, they have once again proven that they are excellent players. They have enriched this final with their exceptional talent.”
