Kobbie Mainoo played very well during Man Utd’s tour in the US. Mainoo impressed in all three of his first games and earned himself a starting midfield spot against Real Madrid in Texas.
Mainoo is about to recover from his injury.
However, he only played for a few minutes before leaving the field due to an injury. At this point, Mainoo is still in the recovery phase. Mainoo recently announced it won’t be “for too long” before returning to the pitch, to answer a question from club captain Bruno Fernandes on social media.
The young player posted a photo of himself in a Red Devils jersey, accompanied by a clock emoji, suggesting he could recover soon.
Before the match against Tottenham, when asked about when Mainoo will return to the first team, coach Erik Ten Hag said: “It is not possible at the moment, but I think he will be available in two months, because winter is coming. Come, he will definitely have his matches.”
