There were no real surprises from Carlo Ancelotti when he named Real Madrid’s starting lineup against Barcelona. Accordingly, David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger were placed in the central defender position when Eder Militao was absent.
Jude Bellingham plays just behind Rodrygo and Vinicius in attack, while Toni Kroos, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde form the trident in midfield.
Perhaps the only player Madrid fans don’t want in the starting lineup is Ferland Mendy. The French player has repeatedly shown that he does not really have enough quality to play as a starter.

Mendy did not meet expectations.
Even in the match against Barca, Mendy did not contribute much. He was often choked by Joao Cancelo. Finally, coach Ancelotti replaced Eduardo Camavinga, thereby helping Real play better.
As MadridXtra reports, Real Madrid is looking to sell Mendy outright because they think this player is not suitable for the team. This player once cost Real 48 million euros.
Mendy has only played five matches this season in the league and created two chances in that time. He was absent for more than half of last season, participating in no more than 18 matches, while only having one assist.
