Carlo Ancelotti is one of the great coaches of European football.

Carlo Ancelotti is the only coach to have ever won championships in the top 5 European leagues. He also has a larger collection of Champions League titles than any other coach (4 times).

Ancelotti marked his second time leading Real when he took over the hot seat from predecessor Zinedine Zidane in June 2021. The 2021/2022 season witnessed Ancelotti’s successful cooperation with Real Madrid.

The captain, born in 1959, helped the “White Vultures” add to the club’s tradition of 1 Spanish Super Cup, 1 La Liga and most importantly, 1 Champions League. The C1 championship also marked the 14th time the Bernabeu home team reached the top of glory in the most prestigious arena on the old continent.

In the fourth match of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League group stage, Ancelotti entered the tournament’s history with his 116th victory after 1,300 times in charge. The Italian coach reached this milestone in his 21st season and his victories came with eight clubs, including Milan (42 wins), Real (40), Chelsea (10), Bayern Munich (7), PSG (6) , Napoli (5), Parma (4) and Juventus (2).

The previous record for the coach with the most wins in the Champions League belonged to Sir Alex Ferguson (115/214 matches leading Man Utd). The legendary former Scottish captain and the “Red Devils” were crowned in 1999 and 2008 and won runner-up twice in 2009 and 2011.

Returning after the FIFA Days series in November, Carlo Ancelotti and his students were guests on Cadiz’s field in round 14 of La Liga, taking place on November 27. Just 3 days later, “Los Blancos” returned home to welcome Napoli in the Champions League arena.
