The previous contract between Kevin Kampl and RB Leipzig will end in June 2024, but the two sides have just decided to extend it for another two years, until 2026. The board of directors clearly understands the importance that the Slovenian midfielder brings. Since the beginning of the season, he has appeared in 11/13 matches, started 10 matches and held the captain’s armband in 5 matches.

Kevin Kampl renewed with RB Leipzig until 2026.
“I am extremely happy and proud that we will continue to work together for another two years. What I have been able to experience here since 2017 is unique. I have said this over and over again, RB Leipzig is my club,” Kevin Kampl shared.
“This city is like home to me and my family, I love being here. We have an exciting team and I am one of the most experienced members of the team, I really enjoy leading these boys and growing together.”

He is one of the most experienced players on the team.
The 33-year-old midfielder joined RB Leipzig in 2017, from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of 20 million euros. Since then, he has made 220 appearances for the club. In addition to Kevin Kampl, Lukas Klostermann and Yussuf Poulsen are also expected to extend their contracts in the near future.
