On the evening of April 6, PSG posted a video of selling tickets for the whole 2023/24 season with the image of Kylian Mbappe alone. The striker born in 1998 reacted both to protect his personal image and to ask the PSG media team to use more images of other PSG players.
Immediately after Kylian Mbappe’s complaint, the Ligue 1 champions removed the promotional video from all social media platforms.
Mbappe wrote on his personal page: “I have seen a video calling for fans with full season tickets to renew for the 2023/24 season. I was not informed about the content of the interview. I disagree with the published video. That’s why I fight for my personal image rights.”
“PSG is a big club and a big family but not Kylian Saint-Germain (referring to PSG is not Mbappe’s own team – PV)”, the new France captain emphasized.
According to L’Equipe, PSG will conduct a revolution after the 2023/24 season. Many stars, even Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, are also at risk of leaving. Director Luis Campos and the leadership of “Le Parisien” want to build a completely new team around Mbappe.
The contract of the 2018 World Cup champion with PSG is valid until the summer of 2025. Real Madrid still has an interest in Mbappe but will not resume negotiations with PSG. Instead, “Los Blancos” will wait for the French player to arrive at the Bernabeu on a free basis.
On the side of PSG, this club is trying to keep Mbappe. L’Equipe said the Paris capital team is paying a bonus of up to 60 million euros a year for Mbappe. In addition, the former Monaco player’s monthly salary is up to 6 million euros.
