Notably, when coach Mauricio Pochettino was exchanging something with Nicolas Jackson near the touchline, an audience member said to the Senegalese star: ”Why can’t you score even one goal?”
This action sparked conflicts. Referring to this situation after the match, coach Pochettino said:
“It was a moment where we all felt disappointed because after 40 minutes of playing well and creating many chances, the energy of the stadium had dropped a bit. Because it was really quiet we could hear it, one fan said: ‘Come on, wake up’. That made Nicolas a bit distracted and I said: ‘Hey, focus here’.
“I repeat once again, we need support from the fans and that’s it.“
