Mirror’s John Cross points out that after spending £65m on Kai Havertz, £105m on Declan Rice and almost £40m on Jurrien Timber, Arsenal’s force reform plan does not stop there.
Specifically, Arsenal are looking to recruit Romeo Lavia. However, they have to sell off players. Granit Xhaka has just joined Bayer Leverkusen for 25 million euros. Meanwhile, Rob Holding, Thomas Partey, Kieran Tierney and Albert Sambi Lokonga are also leaving soon.
The Guardian reports that Holding is expected to leave Arsenal this summer, either on loan or permanently.
Partey is set to negotiate with Arsenal this week, with the club reportedly willing to sell him for a fee of more than £30m. Juventus and Saudi Arabian clubs are monitoring the situation.
Tierney is a top target for Newcastle United, with Arsenal again demanding a fee of more than £30m. There has been a lot of talk about a deal before the summer, but Newcastle are waiting for the right moment to make a formal offer.
Finally, Lokonga recently spoke of “trying to get somewhere more competitive” next season, with Burnley interested in a transfer move.
