Arsenal defeated Manchester City with a 1-0 victory thanks to Gabriel Martinelli’s goal at the Emirates. It took place after the English Super Cup in August, in which the London club won on penalties.
The result opened a two-point gap with Man City as Arsenal moved up to second place in the table behind north London rivals Tottenham.
Mikel Arteta, an apprentice from Pep Guardiola as a Man City assistant in the past, said the coach on the other side of the front line was full of praise for Arsenal. Specifically, Arteta shared on Men In Blazers:

Arteta shares a conversation with Pep after the win against Man City.
“I talked to Pep after the match. No matter how tense the match was with many mixed emotions, in the end the relationship between me and him remained intact.”
“Competing against Pep, I lost more than I won but to be fair, in the last two games when we won the Community Shield and now a win in the Premier League, it feels completely different.. Pep said: ‘Congratulations, Arsenal is an excellent team'”.
Tomorrow, Arsenal will have another important match when they enter the London derby against Chelsea. Ian Wright predicts the Gunners will win.
