After a season that was somewhat short of breath compared to Man City at the end, Arsenal entered this summer with huge ambitions. They opened this transfer window by bringing in Kai Havertz for £65 million.
Currently, coach Mikel Arteta is still looking to strengthen the Gunners squad. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Gunners are looking for a quality right-back and Ivan Fresneda is the one on the radar of scouts at the Emirates Stadium.
Broadly, Barca have long pursued Fresneda but they are unable to meet the release clause of 20 million euros. The maximum they can only spend 10 million euros for this deal.
The Catalan team’s financial problems could give the Gunners an edge in the race to sign the youngster.
In addition to Fresneda, Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo is also on Arsenal’s shortlist at full-back. Of course, the fee of the Portuguese player is much higher.
