Chelsea are still looking for a new striker in the summer transfer window, despite signing Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal or Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig. And they have been linked with Roma’s ‘flagship’ Paulo Dybala in recent days.
The Argentine has a contract at the Stadio Olimpico until 2025, but there is a cheap release clause that makes Chelsea and many other teams unable to sit still.
However, when asked about the future, Paulo Dybala said: “Of course I am very happy in Rome. Do I stay here? Yes, we will start training tomorrow.”
Dybala made 25 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side in Serie A last season, contributing directly to 19 goals. Dybala’s impressive performance helped the Italian giants reach the Europa League final and only to lose in an angry way to Sevilla. It was also the match where this 29-year-old striker showed his class with the opening goal.
