Paul Mitchell has held directorial positions in the Premier League in the past, with roles at Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur, where he headed recruitment.

Paul Mitchell is leaving Monaco.
Mitchell also had a stint with RB Leipzig before moving to St Louis II Stadium and made a strong impression when brokering deals like Aurelien Tchouameni and Benoit Badiashile, earning Monaco more than £100m.
Now, Mitchell has publicly confirmed his departure from Monaco: “I’ve done my duty, I’m leaving Monaco.”
With his talent, Mitchell is pursued by many clubs, especially Liverpool. The Kop are looking for another sporting director after Julian Ward confirmed he would leave the position at the end of the season, months after replacing Michael Edwards. The Anfield team’s leadership has held talks with Mitchell about the possibility of taking on this role at Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are preparing for an important summer. A large number of players are expected to come and go after a sub-par season for the Reds.
