According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, midfielder Gini Wijnaldum has a new stop. The Dutch star landed at Al Ettifaq from PSG. The 32-year-old midfielder signed a three-year contract with the Saudi Arabian team.
Thus, Wijnaldum has the opportunity to reunite with his former teammate Jordan Henderson in the Al Ettifaq shirt. Both have spent time playing, achieving success at Liverpool. Al Ettifaq spent 10 million euros to own the signature of the Dutch midfielder.
Going back to the past, Henderson and Wijnaldum played side by side in the Kop shirt in the period 2016 – 2021. Both won the Champions League 2018/2019, won the Premier League a year later.

Wijnaldum’s career declined when he left Liverpool and landed at PSG in 2021. Last season, the Dutch midfielder played for AS Roma on loan from PSG but had limited playing time due to injury.
Wijnaldum followed in the footsteps of a series of other European stars who landed in the Saudi Arabian National Championship this summer. Previously, former PSG striker Neymar arrived at Al Hilal.
Another face that is likely to leave the French team in the coming days is Marco Verratti. The Italian midfielder is in the sights of Qatar team Al Arabi.
