Club home page Sevilla announced the successful recruitment of Sergio Ramos. The Spanish midfielder returned to Sevilla after 18 years of separation. Ramos left Sevilla in 2005, joining Real Madrid at the age of 19.
At the end of the 2022/2023 season, Ramos parted ways with PSG and became a free player in the transfer market. The 37-year-old star underwent a medical test and signed a one-year contract with Sevilla.
Going back in time, Ramos arrived at the Sevilla youth academy when he was 7 years old. The Spanish midfielder went through different levels before making his debut for the reserve team in the 2002/2003 season. The following season, coach Joaquin Caparros gave Ramos the opportunity to debut for the first team.

Ramos came off the bench in Sevilla’s 0-1 defeat to Deportivo La Coruna. In the 2004/2005 season, Ramos became a defensive mainstay, starting 31 matches in La Liga, contributing two goals.
Ramos made 4 appearances for Sevilla at the Copa del Rey and 6 appearances in the UEFA Cup arena. The turning point in his career occurred when Ramos arrived at Real Madrid. The Spanish star has 101 goals in 671 appearances, winning 5 La Liga championships and 4 Champions Leagues.
