RSC Club home page Anderlecht announced the completion of the contract signing with Kasper Schmeichel. The Danish goalkeeper joined the Belgian team with a one-year contract, with a one-year extension option.
At the end of the 2022/2023 season, Schmeichel parted ways with Nice and became a free player in the transfer market. The 36-year-old star grew up at Man City’s youth academy and made 10 appearances for the first team.
After playing for the Notts County and Leeds teams, Schmeichel landed at Leicester City in 2011. The rest is history. The Foxes won promotion to the Premier League in 2014.

Schmeichel was a member of the Leicester City squad that won the 2015/2016 Premier League. In the summer of 2022, Schmeichel said goodbye to the King Power team after 11 seasons and 479 matches.
Schmeichel won the Premier League, FA Cup, English Super Cup, and Championship with the Foxes. Talent and rich combat experience became big plus points for Schmeichel.
At the national team level, Schmeichel and the Danish team competed at the 2018 World Cup, 2022 World Cup, and EURO 2020. In total, the 36-year-old goalkeeper has 91 caps for the national team, four times being honored as the best player of the year. Denmark.
