After not being able to complete the loan of midfielder Said Benrahma from West Ham United on the last day of the winter transfer window, the Olympique Lyon club asked for help and received approval from FIFA and the Football Association. French football teamed up with the English Football Association to process their transfer.
Club home page Lyon officially confirmed the signing of Benrahma on loan until the end of this season is worth 6 million euros, with an option to buy for about 14.4 million euros.
Benrahma is an important deal for Les Gones to help the team successfully complete their goal of relegation, when they are ranked 3rd from bottom on the Ligue 1 rankings.
Last season, the Algerian midfielder played an important role in West Ham United’s campaign to win the Europa Conference League title but currently he is losing his usual form.
Benrahma spent most of his time on the bench, having only had 615 minutes of Premier League football, including two starts, and has not scored any goals in all competitions.
