Last summer, after an extremely bad season, Man Utd had difficulty in adding personnel. Accordingly, they did not make a purchase until early July, while competitors closed deals in May or June.
Many players seem to be quite reluctant to join Man Utd. Even the Red Devils pursued Frenkie de Jong many times but failed. However, the current situation has changed for the Old Trafford club.

Man Utd will conduct mass liquidation.
Coach Erik ten Hag confirmed Man Utd will attract more players in the summer of 2023. According to many sources, Man Utd plans to bring in a striker, a midfielder, a full-back and a new goalkeeper. On the contrary, many players will leave Old Trafford.
Specifically, Ethan Galbraith is the first name to leave Man Utd, the team’s homepage has confirmed. On his personal page, Galbraith also announced: “After 6 years, my time with this great club, Manchester United is over.
I want to thank the club, the staff and the players for making me a better player, a better person and making me feel at home.
My ambition as a boy was to become a professional footballer and I am forever grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity and support to make that dream come true. It is a privilege and I feel very fortunate.
I’m entering the next chapter of my career as a more mature, well-rounded person and I’m excited for what’s next.”
The Northern Ireland international is on loan at Salford City. This club is entering a series of play-offs for promotion to League One (England’s 3rd division) next season. In his career, Galbraith has only played once for the first team of Man Utd.

Galbraith is the first player to leave Man Utd in the summer of 2023.
This player was given the opportunity by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to come on from the bench in the 1-2 defeat to Astana in the Europa League in 2019. Since then, the 22-year-old midfielder has rarely had the opportunity to appear in the first team.
Galbraith is just one of many players who have to leave Old Trafford this summer. Coach Erik ten Hag plans to push away players who are no longer suitable. Most recently, Fabrizio Romano confirmed Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe were not retained by Man Utd after the contract expired.
Man Utd’s plan to purge forces does not stop here. Even 10 players could leave Old Trafford. Dean Henderson, Diogo Dalot or Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams, Alex Telles, Donny van de Beek, Scott McTominay or Anthony Elanga are on the blacklist.
Man Utd is determined to make a comprehensive change and add new recruits to be ready for the conquest of the Premier League title next season.
