The future of Martin Odegaard attracts the attention of many Arsenal fans at the moment. According to the foggy press, the Norwegian midfielder nodded and agreed to sign a new contract with Arsenal. After two years of arriving at Emirates Stadium, Odegaard gradually became an irreplaceable pillar in Mikel Arteta’s tactical system.
With the captain’s armband in hand, Odegaard delivered a convincing performance. In the 2022/2023 season, the 24-year-old midfielder left a strong impression on Arsenal’s journey to finishing second overall in the Premier League.
After 110 appearances, Odegaard contributed 26 goals and 15 assists for Arsenal. Sharing with GiveMeSport, journalist Ben Jacobs gave his opinion:
“Arsenal are very optimistic about Odegaard’s situation. I think Odegaard will sign a new contract. His current contract will expire in 2025. I think the negotiation process is going at a rapid pace.”
“Extending the contract with Odegaard is part of Arsenal’s plan. The Gunners added new contracts Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber; and built a solid development foundation with key factors in the squad. Odegaard is one of those important pieces.”
