Entering the second half, Los Blancos scored three more goals, thereby, winning the final Liverpool with a score of 5-2. Virgil van Dijk and his teammates received a lot of criticism from experts.
Commenting on the BBC, former striker Alan Shearer made the point: “Joe Gomez makes too many mistakes. Virgil van Dijk looks uncomfortable playing next to him. You always see Liverpool conceding goals when Gomez is on the pitch.”
Gomez had a disappointing game.
