A football club from the Democratic Republic of Congo caused a storm after they chased the referee because he did not award them a penalty.
The incident occurred between the women’s team DC Motema Pembe and Mazembehas, when DC Motema Pembe was leading 5-1. Pembe’s players were furious that they deserved the penalty, prompting humorous scenes.
In the video, the referee can be seen trying to get away from the players and take cover outside the pitch. However, these players still caught up with the referee and attacked the black king.

One fan said: “They should be banned for life, no one will ever try to do that again!”
One added: “There’s nothing funny about this. This is absolutely shameful.”
A third person tweeted: “Players participating in this barbaric act should be fined and banned from playing football by the authorities. This is unacceptable and it goes against football ethics. !”
