Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti and Italian media have compared the 28-year-old to Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta.
He said of that comparison: “I know there have been comparisons but I’m a different player. It’s nice to be compared to Iniesta, but sometimes I feel like there’s a lot of expectations, a lot of creation. more pressure.”
“Every player is different, but if I had to think about role models, I would choose Casemiro, but I also like Marcelo Brozovic and Ismael Bennacer in Serie A.”
Lobotka is compared to Iniesta.
He said of his childhood idol: “Ronaldinho was in Barcelona, then I grew up and started playing football with my own personality. I was fascinated by Xavi and Iniesta, but also Marco Verratti and Luka Modric. If I had to name one person, I would choose Xavi.”
Lobotka is having happy days with Napoli as they lead the Serie A group and have a chance to reach the quarterfinals of C1. The midfielder said of his season: “Everybody dreams of winning the Champions League, but it’s difficult. There are great clubs, but we have nothing to lose. We are not like that. Real Madrid If we get through to the quarter-finals and meet them, we know we can play even. Nobody expected Napoli to reach the final.”
