The Brazilian has undergone ankle surgery after an injury that cut his season short almost five months ago. Neymar’s recovery appeared to be going well as he appeared in a video on the club’s social channels of their stars reporting back to duty after the summer break.
However, it remains unclear whether the 31-year-old will stay in the French capital much longer. In recent months, it has been reported that PSG are ready to sell Neymar this summer and that he has been linked with a return to Barcelona, while Chelsea and Man United are among the Premier clubs. League is said to be interested.
Reports have surfaced many times about the Brazilian being unhappy at PSG. And it is suggested that the French champion has considered the offers for him. But it looks like Neymar will remain at the Parc des Princes for the foreseeable future. Neymar posted on the social networking site the theme “Party season 2023/24”, with a French flag emoji and an image of a private plane in the background.
Neymar still has two years left on his contract with PSG. He had a brilliant start to last season, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists in 20 Ligue 1 appearances before picking up an ankle injury this past February.
If nothing changes on Neymar’s future, the Brazilian striker could feature in PSG’s squad when they face Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in a friendly on July 25.
