Recent sources suggest that Erik ten Hag is prioritizing the acquisition of Rasmus Hojlund, who has enjoyed a brilliant debut season with Atalanta. After being rejected an initial bid of £30.1m, Manchester United are ready to close the next fee up to £50m.
However, The Guardian revealed that the Red Devils will only send this second offer to Hojlund after the change of owner agreement is agreed. The Glazers are considering offers from Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, but the process has taken several months.
If Hojlund fails to arrive at Old Trafford, the Premier League club may be forced to sign Randal Kolo Muani. This is the deal Man Utd needs to conduct this summer, according to journalist Christian Falk.
Specifically, Falk expressed on CaughtOffside:
“Frankfurt has not seen any club with an offer for Randal Kolo Muani. Internally, they have analyzed Muani and looked at how to help him get better next season.”
“Frankfurt still hopes Muani will stay. They have analyzed him and believe they can make the striker better, thereby bringing the club more money. Frankfurt is also looking to EURO 2024, which they believe will increase Muani’s transfer value“.
Frankfurt once demanded 100 million euros for Muani. If the striker born in 1998 goes through the EURO 2024 period successfully, Man Utd can pay more.
